Kamala Harris for President ya’ll! 🇺🇸 Now what does this mean for reproductive health? As keynote speaker of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Grand Boulé, Vice President Harris announced that she is committed to restoring reproductive rights if elected President of the United States.

Earlier this year on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, Vice President Harris kicked off her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour in Wisconsin. During this tour she was able to shed light on the negative of abortion bans as well as sharing the stories of those impacted.

I know many of us are exhausted. It feels like things are never getting better, but this is a friendly reminder that change takes time. Electing Kamala Harris as President of the the Unite States is a huge step in the right direction. Especially when it comes to protecting women’s health and reproductive health. I’ve been working on electoral camapaigns since 2019 and I am extremely burnt out. From having extremely toxic bosses and candidates to working seven days a week for months. It’s an environment that’s not sustainable. And let me also mention how most campaigns do not offer health insurance.

I’m tired. I have also been thinking about taking a step back from doing this work due to the impact that it’s had on my mental, emotional, and physical health. However, I’m excited that Vice President Kamala Harris (my soror 💗💚) is running for president! You already know I’m going to the polls with my pink and green on!

Remember this - choosing yourself is NEVER a wrong decision.
